The following are general tips and tricks that don't exactly qualify as secrets, but are still noteworthy in some regard. WEAPON TERRAINS You can change a weapon's terrain bonuses by equipping a terrain modifier such as a Dust Filter, Thruster Module, or A-Adapter. This has many different applications in a game, the largest one being to let you use a weapon on a type of terrain it would normally be useless in, such as firing beams at enemies underwater, or using ground-based attacks on flying enemies. USAGE OF THE SP SKILL "HOPE" (Kitai) This is an SP command that gives another pilot 50 SP. In this game, the skill does not apply to only one pilot; it applies to EVERY pilot in the unit you select. You can use this to great effect by burning the SP of a combiner unit like Dancougar or Voltes V, then using Hope on the unit and giving every pilot in that unit a 50 SP boost. QUICK MORALE TRICK Rather than discussing this in a detailed paragraph here, I will direct the reader to a chart put online to explain how this works: http://www.dra-mata.com/texts/encouragetrick.png SPECIAL OBTAINABLE PARTS AT THE BAZAAR When you sell upgraded units (not weapons) at the Bazaar, you get rewarded with special parts. All 5 Stat Slots Filled: Spirit of Steel 4 Stat Slots Filled: Hero Emblem 3 Stat Slots Filled: Hyper Jammer 2 Stat Slots Filled: A-Adapter 1 Stat Slot Filled HP: Build-Up Parts EN: Mega Generator Speed: High-Performance Thruster Armor: Special Reinforced Plating Limit: Over-Limiter These rewards are not exclusive - you get ALL of these parts when you sell a with the requisite number of upgrades. IE: If you sell a unit with 3 full upgrade slots, you will get a Hyper Jammer, A-Adapter, and the respective reward for those three slots individually. If you sell a unit with all upgrade slots filled, you're rewarded with all of the above. UNIT UPGRADE CARRYOVERS The following units will carry upgrades over to later units. Nu Gundam <-> Nu Gundam HWS Hyaku Shiki -> Hyaku Shiki Custom -> Full Armor Hyaku Shiki Custom ZZ Gundam -> Full Armor ZZ Gundam Getter Dragon -> Shin Getter Robo Getter Dragon -> Powered-up Getter Dragon Mazinger Z -> Powered-up Mazinger Z Argama -> Lean Horse Zeta Gundam -> Powered-up Zeta Gundam Jaohm -> Cybuster Gundam X <-> Gundam X Divider V2 Gundam <-> V2 Assault Gundam <-> V2 Buster Gundam <-> V2 Assault Buster Gundam Xabungle -> Fully Armored Xabungle Walker Gallier -> Fully Armored Walker Gallier UNIT UPGRADE NON-CARRYOVERS The following units' upgrades do not carry over to successive machines. Gundam X (Or Divider) NO--> Gundam Double X Nu Gundam NO--> Hi-Nu Gundam Zeta Gundam NO--> Zeta II Mazinger Z NO--> MazinKaiser Xabungle NO--> Xabungle 2 NO--> Walker Gallier Iron Gear NO--> Greta Gary BUGS A few Japanese sites have documented a few bugs with the gameplay worth noting. >On Stage 32 (Moon route), Harry is supposed to launch in his SUMO, but for some reason, sometimes Getter-1 launches instead with Musashi. When this bug occurs, it renders Harry permanently unusable. >In a worst-case scenario, a lethal bug can occur in stage 36 that keeps the game from continuing; Without Ryouma at the helm of Getter Dragon, the story doesn't proceed as it should. >On Stage 39 ("Showdown at X-Point!"), if you have Zeta Gundam transformed into its Waverider mode when the Rosamia event occurs (when you reduce Rosamia to under 50% HP), the game can freeze.
